Brand guidelines

Many small amounts, one shared fund.

The Rupee Fund helps people in India give a small amount each month to the free and open-source software they use. This page shows how the brand looks and sounds, and gives you the files.

Voice

People give, nominate, vote and decide where the money goes. Write so that each person can take part.

  1. 01

    Trustworthy

Say what happens to the money. Give numbers and dates. Do not promise more.

  2. 02

    Communal

Write “we” and “you”. The fund belongs to the people who give to it.

  3. 03

    Plain

Use short words and short sentences. Explain a technical term once.

  4. 04

    Indian

Use rupees, Indian places and Indian projects. Do not copy a foreign tone.

  5. 05

    Open

Show how decisions are made. Link to the source.

  6. 06

    Participatory

Ask people to give, to nominate and to vote. Tell them what changed.
